Our new SMF Tactical rails are in! The new direction in modular rails is the Key Mod and our SMF rails are one of lightest and strongest rails out there.

Features:

-6061 T6 Aluminum, US Mil Certified

-Free Floating design allows increased accuracy by allowing consistent barrel whip and uninterrupted barrel harmonics

-Key Mod or M-LOK pattern for modular set up

-QD pivot mount for sling attachment

-Models to accommodate Adams Arms piston gas block or PRI railed gas block

-Includes proprietary barrel nut for solid lock up

Rails range is length to fit any application you might have, from pistol to long gun. Rails lock up to included barrel nut which is over sized to ensure secure lockup. To further ensure solid mating there is a series of screws to prevent rotation under hard use.

We have seen that the modular rail design is the lightest and most efficient rail for any user. It allows you to place rail panels where you need them and keep the weight down where you don't. This also allows for the user to keep a sleek easier to handle rail system that's less prone to snagging.

	I would rate these hand guards as excellent!
	I really like the materials SMF Tactical decided on using for their Hand Guards. 6061 T6 is typically used in Aircraft construction. This material dissipates heat efficiently, and its properties allow it to take anodizing well. The material is also resistant to corrosion. The machining is outstanding on the SMF rail. Fit and finish are excellent. I fully inspected this Hand Guard before installation, and I was extremely impressed with the quality. No machining marks were visible, and the anodizing was consistent throughout the piece. Installation could not have been simpler. The tabs which interface just below the 1913 rail act as an "anti-rotational" device. I like the low profile 300 series stainless barrel nut, and the fact it doesn't require to be "clocked" to accept the gas tube. I like the profile of the Hand Guard, and feel that the shape lends to its structural strength. The shape is excellent, and this is the first non-circular Hand Guard I have ever tried. I like it a lot! Overall I was very impressed! I’ve shot this rifle quite a bit since the install. The hand guard has never loosened, nor flexed. This product is very strong, and the connecting mechanism is excellent. The instructions provided were clear and concise. All tools were also included. I would rate these hand guards as excellent!

	SMF TACTICAL RAIL REVIEW
	I recently installed a SMF Tactical 14.5" Rail on my daughters new Smith and Wesson M&P15. After installation I presented it to her and much to her surprise, she could not believe the weight difference! She also noticed the ease of grip- smooth yet rough textured to allow her to transition for a variety of shooting situations. The SMF Tactical Rail system is simply the best for a lightweight, ergonomic build! Keep up the great innovation Harrison Gear!

	Not just another hand guard ..
	This hand guard was included in a recent build for me ..all the previous reviews are correct in there response..fit ..finish ..feel..are just what you want, i have compared this guard to several others i have on other ar's..im a iron site guy and love to shoot off hand..this guard just feels right, i will include in my next build ..and will be changing out a couple of my rifles to this brand..SMF great job

Q: Will these rails fit my spikes upper? Whats the deal with the anti rotate tabs and locking nut?

A: Yes the rail systems will mount to any mil spec upper receiver, regardless of the maker. The anti rotational tabs are pretty unique. They grab the upper receiver and prevent the rail from rotating which is excellent when paired with the patent pending locking barrel nut. We have machined the barrel nut to include a rib and the rail is expanded with an included tool for install. Once you install the rail and remove the expansion tool the rail is unable to slide forward and also unable to rotate.

We believe this is the lightest, strongest and easiest rail to install on the market today, period.

Q: Will this work with an Adam's Arms Piston system with the XLP gas block without modification?

A: Yes, the Adams Arms Piston XLP will fit under our rail. The knob needs to be outside the rail to make adjustments though.

Q: Will this SMF Tactical rail system accommodate a 1.5" diameter suppressor?

Thanks for the question, unfortunately our rail will not accommodate a 1.5" suppressor. Our rails are 1.35" inner diameter.

Q: will this rail work with the Adams arms alp gas block?

A: Yes it will fir the Adams Arms ALP gas block. It would be wise to select a rail length that affords easy access to the gas block for adjustment too.

Q: There is an obvious slant to the front, are the measurements to the top on the rail or at the longest point?

The rail length is measured from the longest portion, which is the lower part of the rail since the upper portion has a slight cut back. If you have any further questions feel free to call us at 406-686-9182.
