These 80% .308 lower receivers are made to fit DPMS and SR-25 magazines. The receiver has some of the best features out there including a tear drop trigger guard machined into the lower, reinforced pivot pin and a generous magazine well to aid in loading.  We recommend the use of the CMMG lower parts kit in our lower receivers for the best fit and function.

Note that items shipped to customers are not engraved with "made in Montana"

The operations left to be completed are as follows:
        Fire control group
        Trigger pin
        Hammer pin
        Trigger slot
        Safety selector

This is a not an FFL item. This is not a complete receiver and still requires machining to be done. We have a copy of our ATF determination stating that this is not a firearm.

Beautiful lower, Geissele LPK worked flawlessly except for needing extended mag release button. Troy Industries Ambi bolt release worked great with minor modifications to lower and upper. The rear pocket is already milled out, perfect reference point for those who don't use jigs. Also you can anodize the raw aluminum (from the fire control pocket mainly), done it twice now with great results, solution turns pruple from dye from original anodizing. Great people to deal with FAST shipping. Recommending to friends.

Rating excellencent
Very sharp machine work, not cheap but very very nice. Cleaner machine work than my noveske ar-10. Fits my dpms pattern upper perfect and allows my magpul p mags to drop freely during mag changes. Only reason for four stars is I had to use an ar15 bolt release instead of the supplied Armalite bolt release in the lower parts kit I had. Finish is great, love the machined trigger guard design.

Rating liked it so much I bought two more
My buddy has an OBR which is very sexy, but this looks better in my opinion and costs less. I like the trigger dip, looks nice and feels better. Really nice finishing and the most important part it runs magpul p mags! I refuse to buy $100 larue mags or knights mags. The p mags drop free from this perfectly every time.

Questions and Answers
Q: Hello,I am looking for a new 80% lower to fit my CMMG MK3 CBR .308 upper receiver. I purchased an 80% lower from M1 Machine and it is causing feed issues due to a loose fit in the magazine well. The upper and lower mate well, but the loose magazine fit causes the bolt to ride over the bullet when chambering the round. The magazine dips in the front and the bullet is low on the feed ramp, it also pushes in the bullet tip in. I use both DPMS and P-Mags and have the same result. I sent the upper back to CMMG,they lowered the ramps and polished them. Have you had any issues with your lower compatibility with CMMG uppers? If your lowers are compatible, how long does it normally take to ship one if I order it? Thank you for your time...

A: Sir,

I run a mk3 16" cmmg upper on our .308 lower with no issues. I have no issues running p mags at all and the only issues I've had with any mags were knights. The knights mag when loaded to twenty rounds must be firmly seated. It's not much of a problem but requires more force than the p mags.

We have a few on the shelf right now and we ship our orders out within 24 hours. If your not satisfied with fit and finish or our mag well we will take the return. I'm pretty particular and our lowers were designed for the cmmg upper as we have been dealers for them for sometime now.

What length barrel are you running on you mk3? I'm running a 16" and love it, very handy gun.

Let's us know if you have any other questions.
